Popularity of 'real' Manual handling training.

How strange. Following two years of a national lockd-own, we are finding as companies emerge from a deep hibernation from training everyone seems to want Manual handling training. Its no surprise really when you view the statistics for manual handling injuries and recognise that from the last five years when everyone went to on-line training, the national reported statistics did not reduce.

E- learning may have its place for ticking the odd box or maybe for topping up and refreshing employees training annually, but long term reliance on this type of training is a real leap of faith. All e-learning should have robust means of verifying how effective the training was. I'm not talking about a meek little multi-choice test that you can keep taking till you pass it. But a check after 3 months of what information was retained or being implemented in practice.
