Support on offer for COVID 19 return to work organisations
The government have just released a recommendation that construction, manufacturing and other 'vital parts' of the economy should go back to work, providing that the social distancing rules can still be applied. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 states that employers should ensure the health and safety of their employees (and non employees, such as employees parents etc.) as far as is reasonably practicable. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 states that employers should conduct risk assessments and also to have arrangements in place for the effective planning, organising, control, monitoring and review of the preventative measures. These measures are legally binding absolutes and apply just as equally for COVID19 as for any other hazard in the work place.
Train to Safety are currently supporting a number of employees meet these legally binding challenges. If you need and assistance, please contact us.
