Official: the HSE speak out.
After nearly two weeks since the government introduced social distancing rules, the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) has finally released a statement on its stance regarding worker protection from COVID19, jointly with the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Trades Union Congress (TUC).

However, in essence, the HSE claim that for workers who are unable to work from home, employers must continue to provide information about the risks to their health (from the Coronavirus). Social distancing is the key and if employers do not implement these rules where it is practicable to do so (i.e. possible, regardless of the cost to implement), then the HSE will consider taking enforcement action.
